Plan of Salvation

God Loves You!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(John 3:16)

Because of our sin, we are separated from God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23)

The Penalty for our sin is death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)

The penalty for our sin was paid by Jesus Christ!

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8)

If we repent of our sin, then confess and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from our sins!

if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(Romans 10:9,10)

For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(Romans 10:13)

Christians Doing The Things Christians Should Do “Studying The Word Of God”

2 Timothy 2:14-19

1. Christians Must Diligently Study The Word Of God.

2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJ)

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

2. Christians Should Study The Word Of God To Gain His Approval.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJ)

“What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, ‘You shall not covet.’”
Romans 7:7 (NIV)

3. Christians Should Always Seek To Present The Word Of God Correctly.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJ)

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
John 16:12-13 (NKJ)

4. Christians Should Study The Word Of God To Protect The Confidence Of The Church.

“But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort,”
2 Timothy 2:16-17 (NKJ)

“Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.”
Psalm 119:97-98 (NLT)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
